The material that comes off our jobs does not get thrown away — it gets ground, screened and turned into mulch. That is the other half of running our own grinding equipment.
Screening sorts the product to a consistent size rather than leaving it as mixed grindings, and coloring is available where the finish matters.
Because it is produced from our own stream, supply is tied to the work rather than to a wholesale purchase.

Mulch manufacturing: common questions
- How is this different from raw wood chip?
- Raw chip is whatever came out of the chipper — mixed sizes, mixed material. Manufactured mulch is ground and screened to a consistent product, which is what makes it behave predictably when it is spread.
- Is colored mulch available?
- Yes, where the finish matters. Uncolored screened mulch is the default and is what most planting-bed and moisture-retention use calls for.
- Can I get mulch from a job on my own property?
- If you want the chip left on site, say so before the day and the crew will leave it. That is raw chip rather than screened product, but for mulching beds on the same property it is usually exactly what people want.
